Angelina Jolie has joined a list of celebrities whose “supposed deaths” have been circulated by a scam site wanting your personal Facebook information.
The message, “CNN Video Footage: Angelina Jolie Says Goodbye to Her Fans and to Brad Pitt Before Doing This Suicidal” appeared on Facebook this week, and it went viral.

Your first clue it’s a hoax could be the grammatical error “Before Doing This Suicidal,” but nevertheless, reports that if you click on the link, it asks you to give app permission to view and/or post to their Facebook page. BIG red flag. If you accept, you’re basically allowing the scammers to scrape your personal info.

This clickbait tactic was also used by the website who proclaimed the deaths of Vin Diesel, Nicolas Cage, Jaden Smith, Jim Carrey and John Cena in recent weeks. See some screenshots here.

Hey, scam site, get a life.
