Britney Spears will return to the VMAs stage for the first time since her performance in 2007 that no one wants to remember.
Spears announced the news on Tuesday (Aug. 16, 2016) by way of social media with a video of her python friend from her iconic 2001 performance of “I’m a Slave 4 U.” On Sunday, Aug. 28, Spears will perform her latest hit “Make Me” from her forthcoming album Glory alongside rapper G-Eazy, who is featured on the track.
“The VMAs don’t just give you a stage, they give you a story,” Spears narrates over the announcement video. “Some way of taking a fraction of a second and making it live forever. Before you know it, it’s history. Before you know it, it’s Britney, bitch.”
