One final goodbye.
The parents of late actor Anton Yelchin are thanking fans for their support in the wake of their son’s tragic death in June. Irina and Viktor took out a full-page ad in The Hollywood Reporter to show their gratitude to those who sent them condolences. The emotional ad features a black-and-white professional photo of the Star Trek star, alongside the words “Thank You.”
The message reads, “To all of you who have sent flowers and gifts, for your condolences and kind words and to all who came to celebrate the life our… son, Anton. We are deeply grateful for your unconditional love … He would be surprised at how many hearts and souls he touched. Thank you very much, Irina & Viktor Yelchin.”
Yelchin, 27, passed away of blunt traumatic asphyxia on June 16, 2016 after his car rolled back and accidentally pinned him against a brick pillar attached to the front gate of his house. His co-stars, as well as many other celebrities in Hollywood, mourned him taking to their social medias to remember what an incredible actor he was.
