A brand new trailer for “The Girl on the Train” has been released and we are very excited. Will it reach up to our high expectations? Watch down the trailer and be prepared because it is horrifying!
The film is directed by Tate Taylor (The Help, Get on Up), and it stars Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson, Justin Theroux, Haley Bennett, Luke Evans, Edgar Ramirez and Allison Janney, is based on Paula Hawkins’ bestselling novel, “The Girl on the Train”.
Emily Blunt plays Rachel, a rather unusual protagonist described as an overweight alcoholic who makes angrily bad decisions, including getting fired from her job and still undergoing the daily mundane London commute so that her concerned housemate doesn’t find out.
Author of The Girl on the Train, wasn’t involved in the screenplay adaption personally but her plot is in good hands.
In photos of Emily on set however, she looked a far cry from her usual glamorous appearance sporting a dowdy over-sized grey coat and an equally as grey vacant facial expression. No doubt this is to capture Rachel’s very bleak outlook on life, which eventually runs her into a bit of trouble.
Featuring alongside Emily Blunt will be Rebecca Ferguson as Anna, the former mistress/now wife of Rachel’s ex-husband, while Hayley Bennett plays missing Megan.
Jennifer Aniston’s husband Justin Theroux plays Tom, the ex-husband of Emily Blunt’s character, and “Friends” star Lisa Kudrow plays concerned housemate Monica.
Luke Evans plays the role of Scott, the husband of missing Megan.
The Girl On The Train movie release date is set for 7 October 2016.
