The Hunger Games actress Jennifer Lawrence is set to star as controversial CEO Elizabeth Holmes in a film adaptation of her life, written and directed by “The Big Short” director Adam McKay.
Elizabeth Holmes was named by Forbes‘ as the richest self-made woman last year due to her successful biotech company “Theranos”. However, last week it was revealed that the magazine had altered Elizabeth’s estimated net worth from $4.5 billion to nothing.
This shocking news came after allegations that Theranos’ blood-testing device gave inaccurate results. However, the company has denied these claims.
This role was offered to Jennifer after her performance as “Joy Mangano”, a self-made entrepreneur who designed the miracle mop.
It is unclear whether Jen has officially signed to play the role, but she seems very much connected to the role. Fingers crossed we get to see her as Elizabeth on the big screen soon!
