Katy Perry has allegedly waded in on Taylor Swift and Kanye West’s online feud. Her thoughts on the stuation? Rise above it.

The two pop stars have apparently had beef for years, after Swift reportedly stole Perry’s backing dancers. And now Perry has got embroiled in Swifty’s latest row over West’s latest track, Famous.

Prior to this, last week Swift was involved in another online battle with her ex, Calvin Harris, in response to her claiming that she wrote his latest song,  What You Came For. Harris wasn’t too pleased with her announcement, considering that she was apparently the one who wanted to keep the collaboration a secret in the first place.

In the series of tweets, he namechecked Perry and her alleged bad blood with Swift, writing: “I know you’re off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I’m not that guy, sorry. I won’t allow it.”

Perry replied with a few funny tweets, and now she’s released a new single, Rise which some are saying is a jibe at Swift’s current high-profile battles.

However, Perry herself says that the song is written about recent global tragic events.

“Now more than ever, there is a need for our world to unite,” she said. “I know that together, we can rise above the fear, in our country and around the world.”
