Are you too wondering about how Margot Robbie got that insanely hot body we saw in “Suicide Squad”? We’ve got all the answers as her trainer, Andie Hecker, revealed her work-out routine.
The 26 year old actress has been starring in many Hollywood movies this year which has no doubt required her hard work and dedication, not just on screen but behind the scenes too. Known for her amazing acting talents as well as being a fashion and beauty icon, it was no surprise when Margot stole the show with her incredible physique as she played villain Harley Quinn in “Suicide Squad”. And now, her trainer has revealed exactly how the Australian A-lister achieved her new body and let’s just say, it wasn’t a walk in the park.
Hecker told People that she train the young actress for three hours a day, almost every day for the three weeks leading up to her filming. “She was a total trooper. It was very satisfying to see her body change into exactly what she wanted it to look like in such a short time,” said the fitness trainer. During their sessions, Hecker used alternative methods such as ballet and Pilates to tone up Margot’s body. “We also mix in non-bulking cardio such as jump rope, rebounder and ballet jumps which are surprisingly the most challenging form of cardio I’ve ever come across.” she revealed. The Suicide Squad star decided to up her fitness game as playing Harley in the movie meant having her body on display in short shorts throughout filming and even shoot a scene removing her top as she got changed in front of her co-stars. To tone up both her abs and bum, Hecker and Margot did a lot of heavy-weighted, low reps of arabesque pulls hooked up to resistance pulleys, as well as arabesque lifts with heavy ankle weights. “We also did a ton of side series outer thigh work, targeting outer glutes with high reps and low weights, to pull those muscles in and create a beautiful line from the waist to the upper thigh,” said Hecker.
Well we can say that the hard work definitely worked. Watch Margot Robbie playing badass Harley in “Suicide Squad” out in cinemas now.
