Miley Cyrus’ homeless 2014 MTV VMAs date is selling her coveted Video of the Year Award on eBay.
Jesse Helt, who joined the “Wrecking Ball” singer at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards to raise awareness of youth homelessness, is selling Cyrus’ Moonman trophy for $10,000.
Helt has been living a good life. The 24-year-old, who recently got a studio apartment in Los Angeles, Calif. and is expecting a baby with his partner, is cashing in the VMA for money to raise the child.
As of Tuesday morning (Aug. 30, 2016), there were no bids yet; however, the “Buy It Now” option is going for $15,000. If he’s lucky, Helt could get quite a lot of money for the engraved trophy. It wouldn’t be the first time an MTV Moonman has been sold. Someone once paid $72,000 for U.S.A. for Africa’s “We Are the World” statuette.
If you’d like to place your own bid (LOL), check out his Ebay listing here.
