When we think “Tesco”, we usually think weekly grocery store but that’s all is about to change.
The huge supermarket chain is set to broaden its horizon this summer by launching a pop-up wine bar on Soho’s Wardour Street in August. Yeah, you heard right, Tesco will no longer be just your go-to supermarket but a swanky new drinking spot if you fancy sipping on some wine on a Friday night.
The bar will be serving a series of “wine flights” during its eleven day opening as it aims to promote the quality of Tesco’s 70-plus finest wine range. Tesco’s senior brand manager, Elizabeth Farroni said: “Showcasing the change through a pop-up wine bar is the perfect way to demonstrate the high quality of our wines directly to the public.”
As well as indulging in Tesco’s finest wine, guests will have the chance to quiz wine experts on all things wine related and they’ll be able to provide advice as well.
The bar will be open at 147 Wardour Street from 2 August till 12 August.
