Sir Tom Jones might be returning to The Voice when it airs on ITV for its next series.
Despite being axed from the show by BBC bosses, ITV producers – who will be taking over as of next year when the show makes its big move – have been very keen on offering the musical legend his turning chair back.
However, the 76 year-old has yet to give his final answer, unlike his former co-judge Will.i.am who has confirmed he will be remaining on the show when it migrates to its new host channel. According to The Sun, a source has revealed: “Tom is keen to get back on the show – something he wouldn’t have been if it was still on the Beeb rather than ITV.”
The source also told the publication that Jones has yet to confirm his return as he is still struggling with the loss of his wife of 59 years Melinda Rose Woodward. “The only thing that’s holding him back is whether it’s too soon after his wife’s death and whether that makes it the right decision,” said the source.
While Will.i.am will be returning to the show, fellow judge Boy George has confirmed he will not be coming back for the new series on ITV.
We wonder what Tom will decide.
