If you’re sick of reading about health bunnies, clean eating and food group trends then look away now. The world’s healthiest burger has landed and it contains over 50 superfood groups.

Would you eat the world's healthiest burger?

Chef Libby Limon has created the Nutri-burger with online voucher site, Groupon, and the meal comes complete with “fries” and “milkshake”.

If you’re dreaming of crispy, salty potatoes or Oreo ice cream then you’re about to be sorely disappointed…

The burger’s bun is a matcha gluten-free brioche bun and the patty is made from a beetroot, quinoa and mushrooms. The fries are purple and orange sweet potato and the chocolate shake is made from cacao, bee pollen and activated nuts.

If you don’t manage to get your five-a-day, this might not be a bad meal choice. The meal contains 21 of the top 100 antioxidant superfoods and provides over 100 per cent of the recommended daily allowance of fibre, vitamin A, vitamin C and iodine.  It contains your five-a-day in one go and is high in B vitamins, vitamin E, vitamin K, magnesium, potassium, selenium, choline and zinc. It also happens to be gluten and dairy free as well as vegetarian, obviously.

Limon commented: “This meal takes healthy eating to the next level.

“The superfood ingredients will help you put spring back in your step after a late night or give your immune system that extra boost.

“It’s super nutritious and full of antioxidants, probiotics, polyphenols, healthy fats, vitamins and minerals so there’s no need to feel guilty while indulging in this burger!

“The ingredients list might initially appear overwhelming but it’s easy to make.”
