The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge along with Prince Harry have recorded a message to Team GB, wishing them good luck ahead of the Rio Olympics.
The three royals expressed their support for the 366 British athletes who will compete in the Rio games this month. Following a montage of Olympic footage, Kate, Will and Harry’s voices are heard reflecting on the country’s success in both London 2012 and Beijing 2008.
In the special message, Prince William says: “London 2012 saw this country come alive with a passion for sport. It saw people of all ages, and from all walks of life, join together to support Team GB.”
“Each member of Team GB will have a unique journey, but they all share the same aim to deliver the best performance they possibly can,” continued Harry, while the Duchess added “we are all so excited to see what can be achieved in Rio.”
Team GB are preparing to compete in 23 games, in hopes of beating their away from home record of 47 medals in Bejing 2008.
The one and a half minute clip comes to an end as sports lover Harry, urges the country to “get behind them and cheer them on as they take to the world stage.”
